Rogers & Pedersen's roots can be traced back to 1900 when, after emigrating from Denmark, Rasmus Pedersen founded R. Pedersen Construction in Denver, Colorado. Later, the business moved to Fresno, California, where his sons Al and Elmer joined the business. In the 1970s, Al's sons, Paul and Richard, joined the firm (then becoming R. Pedersen & Sons, Inc.) which continued its success through the construction of health-care, office, educational, entertainment, detention, and industrial facilities.
In 2000, Rasmus's great-grandson, Doug Pedersen, started work in the construction industry. After working with other well-established construction firms, he joined the firm in 2004. In 2009, Doug continued the legacy and moved to the Central Coast of California, where he continued to operate with the same time-honored principles responsible for a century of unbroken trust and reputation.
As the project manager responsible for the construction of estate homes, wine caves, wineries, and hospitality projects on the Central Coast, Doug developed a complementary working relationship with Tim Rogers, who served as the project superintendent on the same projects. Doug and Tim share a common education, both receiving their bachelor degrees in Construction Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After years of working side-by-side and realizing they had a common foundation of business ethics, drive and passion for building, Tim and Doug formed Rogers & Pedersen Construction, Inc.
